Is the Samsung S10 Plus still good in 2022?
With the release of the S10 Plus in 2019, Samsung made serious improvements on their S Series lineup of devices, especially when compared to the previous years Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.Â
For the display, Samsung shrunk the bezel width, making the Dynamic OLED 6.4" instead of 6.2" and increased the pixel density from 1440 x 2960 to 1440 x 3040.
With the improvements in display size and quality, something Samsung specifically is known for, there were also improvements in camera quality and overall connectivity. The S10 Plus smartphones were released with support for enhanced WiFi Connectivity, officially known as WiFi 6.
In terms of camera improvements, the S10+ released an enhanced Night Mode feature which automatically detects low light conditions and applies corrective edits to make sure users aren't getting blurry, overall bad quality shots.Â
As a 2022 release smartphone, the S10 Plus definitely stands up to it's competitors especially given the fact that it's still compatible with all next generation LTE cellular networks, offers a slim footprint and a competitive OLED display.Â
How much does the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus usually cost in Ontario?
The S10+ price is still relatively high for a 2019 released phone, however the cost of the display itself as well as the rising cost of similarly priced devices. You can expect to find a certified pre-owned Samsung Galaxy S10+ priced around $400-450. While this may seem still high, keep in mind the larger screen size device variants will always carry a premium, even with 1-2 year old devices.
 Is the Samsung S10+ discontinued?
Like most other smartphone manufacturers, Samsung releases dozens of variants each calendar year to each market segment. The S10+ is no longer in production in North America, as it has been preceded by the release of the S20 in February of 2020 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 in January 2021. With that said, these are all still supported devices, and plenty of stock is available for users looking for affordable cell phones in Ontario.Â
While the S Series devices are not the most affordable line of devices, and are meant for a higher end, more demanding consumer base, we do have a selection of cell phones under $200 available which include the Samsung A Series.
